🫖 Teapot Tiliang Factory No 2 90s with a poem
🔎 The teapot was made in the late 90s at Factory No. 2. The manufacturing method for the body is mechanical molding, with subsequent addition of details and post-processing by hand.
➡️ On one side of the teapot is written 一片冰心在玉壶, this is a line from a poem by the Tang Dynasty poet Wang Changlin 王昌龄, from the poem 芙蓉楼送辛典 "Seeing off Xin Jian from the Fuzhong Pavilion", and the full couplet looks like this:
洛阳要友如相问,
一片冰心在玉壶.
In Ukrainian it will sound like:
If relatives and friends from Luoyang ask about me,
tell them: my heart is pure, like ice in a jade bowl.
These are Taoist metaphors, interpreted as "my conscience is pure, not stained by any circumstances."
➡️ On the other side there is a drawing, but there can be two options here. The first is ice fragments in a jade bowl, which is actually written in the poem, and next to it is a philosopher's stone 供石. The philosopher's stone was usually used for contemplation and philosophical reflection. Another option is daffodil seedlings 水仙 in a pot next to a garden stone. Taoist sages identified daffodils with the ability to remain immaculate even in difficult times. Both options complement the calligraphy.
🧱 Zi Ni clay of any firing. Universal for any tea.
🧂 Each teapot with a single hole is equipped with a filter-nest made of food-grade stainless steel.
