👩🏻🎨 A small preface about the craftswoman and the issue of professional title. A craftswoman of the old school, the first school, to be precise, so she could not have certifications in the modern sense. But the most reliable and most often historical designation is the senior craftswoman of decorative and applied arts 高清工厂美师.
She retired in 1995, when all famous craftsmen had already begun to actively confirm their status through a new official certification. For example, her brother Shu Dansheng passed such a certification, so he has a corresponding record.
Shu Fengying
She is probably the most brilliant craftswoman I have ever read and researched, as she has worked since the pre-factory period, that is, since the Cooperative period, studied under the founding masters, and actually created a family dynasty.

Shu Fengying 束凤英 (松鳳英) was born in 1940 in Dingshu Town, Yixing.
In 1955, at the age of 15–16, she joined the Shushan Ceramic Production Cooperative 蜀山陶业生制合别社, the predecessor of Yixing Factory No 1, and her mentors were the two founding masters Gu Jingzhou 顾景舟 and Pei Shimin 裴石民.
From 1956 to 1958, she studied under Gu Jingzhou. She mastered the basics of shaping, proportioning, and making smooth teapots.
After 1958, she continued her studies with Pei Shimin, focusing on naturalistic forms - fruits, flowers, branches, crabs and other natural motifs.
From 1958, she began to help train new factory students, and from 1971 to 1980, she independently supervised the training of students.
In 1981, she was transferred to the factory's research department - 紫砂研究所, where she again worked under the direction of Gu Jingzhou.
She officially retired in 1995, and died on March 21, 2015 at the age of 75.
Family
Her father was Shu Liudu 束六度, in some texts his name is written as 束禄度. Before the establishment of the state factory system, he ran a ceramic shop-workshop Lixin 立新陶器店 in Shushan. That is why Shu Fengying grew up in an environment directly related to the production of ceramics.
Her younger brother Shu Dansheng 束旦生 born in 1944, a master of making and especially clay carving. He had the pseudonym Shixue 石雪, the owner of the Shuotaozhai workshop 硕陶斋, a confirmed master of ceramic art in Jiangsu Province.
Her son Wan Yajun 万亚钧, was born in 1967. He first studied with his mother, and in 1982 he entered the Factory, where he studied with Lu Yaochen, and later perfected naturalistic forms with Ji Yishun. He received the title of senior master of decorative and applied arts.
Shu Dansheng's nephew Shu Qun 束群, Shu's son, entered the Factory in 1988–1989, and learned to make teapots from Shu Fengying.
