🧱 Zi Ni clay (purple) covered with Zhuni (orange-red).

✨ There was a crack on the lid, most likely a particle of organic matter got into the clay and during firing the gas formed shot out and formed a hole. The hole was leveled using the traditional kintsugi technique using natural urushi lacquer. Also, the original had a 7-hole filter, which barely let water through, so it had to be removed. The single hole is closed without a trace by a metal filter-nest (see photo). The lid is loose, but does not leak.
