Master Shui Ping from Factory No. 2, 90s

The teapot is made of purple clay and covered with red. Beautiful workmanship, especially inside, fully complies with the canons of the First Factory. And it is not surprising, since Shui Ping was made by a craftswoman whose stamp is under the lid, and therefore we have a provenance.

Born in 1966 in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, in a family of ceramic masters. Graduated from the Faculty of Decorative and Applied Arts of the China University of Geosciences. 
In 1985, she began working as a technician at Factory No. 2 in the research and development department, where she studied the art of mold design. 
A student of the National Master of Applied Arts of China 徐汉棠 Xu Hangtang.
Thanks to her thorough knowledge of working with Yixing clay, the mentorship of outstanding masters, and her own delicate sense of the material, her work has gained great influence. Fan's best works often become collectibles both in China and abroad.
