🫖 Plum Blossom Teapot F2 Late 80s
⚱️ This is not a pumpkin, as it might seem at first glance, but a plum blossom. In the catalog of Factory No. 2, the name of the teapot is listed as ~"Fully red small teapot in the shape of a plum blossom" 全红小梅花壶. See the last photo.
🧱 The clay is red, with an orange tint, classic for the later periods. It is viscous and finely dispersed, the firing is high. In very good light, darkening is visible, the so-called "spitting black" (Tu Hei吐黑), which is caused by the firing process, the atmosphere in the kiln or the clay itself. Because of this feature, the teapot is ideal for gaba-oolongs, dark oolongs, red tea or others where you need to emphasize sourness, minerality, vanilla or fruit flavor.
💎 The exterior finish of the teapot is very beautiful, the surface is pleasant to the touch. Inside, a typical F2 feature is the deliberate emphasis on hand intervention.
