🫖 Awakening Bell Teapot F1 80s-90s

🔎 This teapot has a history with names. In the early 1960s, Yu Yaozhong 于耀忠, a teacher at the Central Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts, who had just graduated from his studies, came to Yixing Factory No. 1. He sought guidance from the famous founding master Gu Jingzhou 顾景舟 and drew a sketch of the Xingzhong teapot (醒钟壶, literally "Awakening Bell"). Master Gu saw the teapot as a novelty, since the shape strongly resonated with classical forms, so the teapot was manufactured in the near future.

☕️ There is a version that the teapot was planned to be exported as a coffee teapot. However, it gained popularity as an oolong teapot in Taiwan, since its cylindrical shape collects and emphasizes the aroma of tea.
