Bamboo Teapot by Master Shi Aiming 90s F2
Shi Aimin 史爱明, currently holds the title of National Senior Master 高清工彩票美师 [国家], and also has works that are permanently included in museums.
Shi Aiming was born in 1968 in the city of Yixing near Lake Taihu, in a family of ceramic masters. At the age of 16, he went to work at Factory No. 2, where he immediately became an apprentice to master Xu Sihai 许四海, and in 1986 he became an apprentice to master Xu Xutan 徐秀棠. Probably, it was not without parental connections. In 1992, he underwent advanced training at the Central Academy of Applied Arts, specializing in "Ceramic Mold Design". In 2002, he founded his own studio Aiming Tao Yi 爱明陶艺.
In 2006, his teapot "Round Pearl" 圆珠壶 was permanently included in the collection of the Wuxi City Museum 无锡, later, in 2010, another of his teapots "Bamboo Rhyme" 竹韵壶 was also included there. In 2010, another teapot by the master "Magnolia" 玉兰壶 was included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Ceramic Culture of the Republic of Korea. In addition to the inclusions, the master has many national awards.
Our teapot is called "Bamboo Teapot with Handle" 竹节提梁壶, and the history of its form begins in the middle of the Qing Dynasty, when it was first created by master Chen Yinxiang 陈荫千, since then different generations of masters have reproduced it.
The teapot is made of luxurious purple clay, with very fine workmanship. In the photo you can see the skill with which each detail is made. On the bottom and under the lid there are master stamps, and the period of manufacture is estimated to be the beginning of the 90s. Volume 145 ml, 7-hole filter.
